CBD Cosmetics Review: Are they worth it?

Posted by Jacob

CBD oil is well-known for its healing properties. CBD cosmetics can also be used to treat skin conditions. Non-toxic CBD cosmetics, skincare products.

CBD oil, capsules, and even gummies vitamins can be used. Anecdotal evidence shows that CBD is beneficial for the body. It has many benefits, including anxiety, stress relief, sleep, pain, inflammation and more.

Do not ask if CBD is psychoactive. Sorry, that’s not what you were looking to get.

CBD is mainly used for medicinal purposes and not recreational. It can be used to treat certain health issues as an alternative or traditional Western medicine.

CBD has gained a lot of attention in skincare because it is known for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties. What does this translate into for you? CBD oil may be able to help calm sensitive skin such as acne or redness.

What is CBD Oil exactly?

CBD stands as Cannabidiol. It is a member the cannabis plant family. There are many types, including the most commonly used, of cannabis.

CBD isn’t the same thing, however. Not even close. CBD is distinct from marijuana due to a compound called tetrahydrocannabinol. TCH, the main chemical that produces a high in marijuana’s psychoactive constituents, is what makes CBD different from other forms of cannabis. CBD does NOT contain TCH, so it is non-psychoactive.

With medical cannabis becoming legal in some states now, CBD oil has become one of the best cbd gummies. CBD gummies can also be applied topically, such as in edibles products.
Hemp, which is also part of cannabis’ family, is used in many CBD products. Both hemp oil and hemp seed consumption are great for the skin. Is CBD Oil just as beneficial?

Are CBD Cosmetics Safe for Use?

While research on CBD has been limited, there are many studies that suggest more research is needed. There is evidence that CBD is safe and can have medicinal benefits.

CBD’s effectiveness in treating epilepsy in children is the strongest proof. Many children with rare forms epilepsy do not usually respond to antiseizure drugs, but CBD has been shown to be very beneficial to them.  The FDA has approved a cannabis-derived medicine that can be used to treat severe and rare cases of epilepsy.

CBD appears to have the following benefits:

  • Generalized anxiety disorder
  • Obstructive sleeping apnea
  • Chronic pain
  • Arthritis
  • Inflammation

This last one, inflammation refers to CBD’s potential health benefits in various skin conditions. We’ll be discussing that in a minute.

Although CBD appears to be safe, there is still much more research needed. Some CBD studies have had mixed success, while others have seen overwhelmingly positive results. CBD is both safe and effective in certain instances.

The Market for CBD cosmetics

Beauty is quick to pick up on superfoods and exotic ingredients. CBD extract is just one example.

Indie beauty brands are already creating products with this trendy ingredient. You can buy a wide range of CBD skincare products including soaps and lotions that claim to naturally heal, soothe and nourish the skin, combat inflammation, battle acne, as well as moisturize your skin.

How much of this claim is based on scientific evidence?

CBD claims can help with inflammation, pain, and certain skin conditions such as acne. They may be. Other claims, including those about hydration or nourishment, are a little stretch.
